No matter how hard you try
You can’t fly a rock.
And even if you huff and puff
You can’t blow up a sock.
Our second to youngest granddaughter, Ariel, made this startling observation, for a five year old, that no matter how hard you try, you can’t blow up a sock. Since this is certain to become a family saying, I decided to immortalize it in the best way I know how, as a poem. The rock flying is added only for the benefit of rhyme. The drawing in no way resembles Ariel.
