The bride in white wheelchair
With many flowers adorned.
The groom with his walker,
Offered help, quickly scorned.
The best man with a tank
Of oxygen close by,
Doubled up his Attends
To make sure he’d stay dry.
The bridesmaids all had helped,
Push her down the church aisle;
Each one pretty in spite
Of her wan toothless smile.
To have married in youth
Both would have adored it.
But decided to wait
‘Till they could afford it.
