Two blondes had promised their father
That they would bury him at sea.
They thought that they would do the job,
To save themselves the burial fee.

They put him in his fishing boat,
And took him out a ways from shore.
They’d read the law required the grave,
To be at least six feet or more.

Ditsy was the older sister
And Lovel was the younger one.
Ditsy told her younger sister,
That she’d make sure the task got done.

So she dove into the water
Came back up and called to Lovel
“The water here is six feet deep,
Come on in and bring the shovel.”
