My big brother and I
Got a brand new pet frog.
Daddy gave it to us;
We had asked for a dog.

We both were so happy
Just too get a new pet.
‘Cause frogs make you happy
When they’re all you can get.

Right at first it would jump
Then it would go, “Rib-bit.”
But it soon got too tired
And the thing would just sit.

My big brother said, “Rats,
It looks like it has died”
So we both pitched a fit,
And we screamed and we cried.

But our sister just laughed,
She said, “Don’t go spastic,
‘Cause your dumb frog can’t die,
It’s made out of plastic!”
