They were looking at their group picture,
The first grade class of Mrs. Sotos.
They were guessing what each would become
As they gathered around the photos.

“Look, there’s Sally”, one of them said,
“She’ll probably be a movie star”.
“And there’s Albert”, somebody else said,
I bet that he’ll own his own race car”.

Still looking at their class pictures,
One of the students, piped up and said,
“There’s Jonathan, he’ll be a lawyer,
And there is Mrs. Sotos, she’ll be dead!”
