He found an island
Out at sea,
Or maybe there
Were two or three.
The scaly beach
Was yellow green.
No trees or shells;
An empty scene.
His water gone,
He’d dig for more.
That’s when he heard
An awful roar!
His friends all wonder
Where he’s been,
No one has heard
From him since then!

Must have [...]

But warned that I should wish with care.
At first I wished for little things,
A brand new [...]
Shooting Star
May 20th, 2008 — Poems for Children
I saw a shooting star last night
It shot across the sky
No way to tell how big it was
‘Cause it was very high.
A shooting star is always fun
To be the first to spot it,
But if it is a star that’s shot
I wonder just who shot it.
And if it is the star that shoots
I hope that it [...]
