Good Polar Bear,
Try not to munch
If you and I
Go out to lunch.
I know that you
Can’t eat just seal
With ice water
For every meal.
But if some time
We meet for food,
I hope you’re in
A real good mood.
If I’m wary
Of your menu,
You can’t blame me
Nice bear, can you?

Island Scene
August 10th, 2008 — Poems for Children
He found an island

An empty scene.
His water gone,
He’d dig for more.
That’s when he heard
An awful roar!
His friends all wonder
Where he’s been,
No one has heard
From him since then!

I was much too scared to worry.
The wet spot on the bathroom floor

Magic Hat
June 11th, 2008 — Poems for Children
I found a magic hat
While walking in the mall.
That is how I got so short,
Although I had been rather tall.
It said that I could wish for things
And they’d appear out of thin air,
And pile up on the hat’s broad brim;
But warned that I should wish with care.
At first I wished for little things,
A brand new [...]
