At recess she was there again today
In hopes that I would notice her bold flirt.
Her looks were nice if you ignored the dirt,
Her blue eyes beckoned me to come and play.
But did I want to leave my other friends
To play with this lone girl whom most thought strange?
My recess plans should I now re-arrange?

I made a pair of stilts, Now I’ll be ten feet tall. I’ll make my mom and dad And all my friends look small.
As soon as I get up, I’ll reach and grab a cloud. I’ll watch the next parade From back behind the crowd.
